A vast site with an impressive built area of 70.000 m², is home to Engels Group, an electrical trade and family business in Belgium.
20.000 m² has been reimagined to balance functionality with a welcoming, homely atmosphere. With at its site's heart, the centrally located building, serving as the company’s headquarters.
The existing structure is respected and enhanced, with its architectural character highlighted. Ceilings play a defining role in shaping each floor’s identity. With the headquarters centrally positioned, the facade emphasizes verticality, creating a stronger, more inviting site entrance. The lobby blends solid surfaces with marble, setting a refined yet approachable tone.
While the layout fosters openness, every employee enjoys a dedicated workspace, ensuring both focus and connectivity. Meeting rooms are well-separated, offering high-quality presentation technology while maintaining a cosy and comfortable setting.

Each level features a coffee corner and informal meeting space, fostering interaction and relaxation. Acoustics and employee well-being were key considerations, ensuring a serene and productive work environment.
The material palette — wood veneer, stucco, and soft fabrics with a Bordeaux accent referencing the company logo, creates a warm and refined atmosphere. Expansive glazing preserves the open floor plan, while abundant natural light and reflection enhances the sense of space.
